Here’s a peek into what last week’s workouts looked like, as part of my monthly Week of Workouts series!
Week of Workouts: April 2021

Monday: Leg Workout
Monday’s workout was all kinds of comical. I waited until Rhett’s afternoon nap to work out which meant I had both Chase and Ryder with me outside. I streamed a 45-minute Burn Boot Camp leg workout which took me an hour to complete, thanks to all of the kid-related interruptions… but I got it done and it felt great!
Here’s what my version of the workout looked like (I modified quite a few of the exercises):
I loved the way it paired one weighted exercise with one plyo or bodyweight exercise. Phew!
Also, please take a minute to look at this photo Ryan snapped when came downstairs for some water during a quick work break and spied us in the driveway. It’s like a Where’s Waldo of kid + dog mayhem!
Whatever works, right!? And yes, the boys thoroughly enjoy taking every single toy out of the garage when they play outside.

Tuesday: Rest Day
No workout for me on Tuesday!

Wednesday: Biceps, Triceps and Core Workout + 10 Minute Bikini Arms Video
On Wednesday, I woke up bright and early and took myself through a biceps, triceps and core workout. It wasn’t crazy sweaty but it did get my arms and abs burnin’! I rounded out my workout with a 10-minute Tone It Up Bikini Arms Workout.

Thursday: Rest Day
Another rest day on Thursday!

Friday: Push/Pull Workout
On Friday, I completed a push/pull Burn Boot Camp workout in the garage during Rhett’s nap while Ryder played outside around me. This meant my workout included ample breaks for toddler interruptions again but it felt good to work my back, shoulders and chest in a triple set format.
-
Saturday: Rest Day
No workout for me again on Saturday!

Sunday: Plyometric Leg Workout + Jen Eddins’ 12-Minute Post- Workout Yoga Flow
On Sunday, Ryan and his dad took Chase and Ryder to Ryan’s soccer game while I stayed behind with Rhett so he could nap. I used most of Rhett’s nap time to work out and took myself through a throwback plyometric leg workout. I modified the workout a bit and reduced the rounds to 45-second (versus 60 seconds) and omitted the jumping lunges and tuck jumps completely. Since Rhett was still snoozing away, I also squeezed in a 12-minute post-workout yoga flow that felt amazing. Whenever I do yoga – even only 12 minutes of it – I find myself feeling like I need a lot more of it in my life. I completed my entire workout in our driveway and it was SO beautiful outside. Something about mid-60 degree temperatures and sunny skies makes a workout feel a million times more enjoyable. I just love outdoor exercise!
