PBF Gift Guide: For Her

We’re just about a week out from Christmas and I truthfully didn’t think my His & Hers Gift Guides were going to make it up on the blog this year. I had ambitions to publish them early last week but the flu had other plans. Unfortunately the flu decided to linger this weekend and while I spent most of Saturday and Sunday on the couch and in bed, I worked on today’s Gift Guide For Her in bits and pieces.

Gift Guide for Her

I thought it might be too late to share, but “gift guide” is the number two search term on my blog at the moment and I’ve received more than a couple of requests to share a few more. I’m hoping to share my Gift Guide for Guys tomorrow and really hope these gift guides help those of you in need of some last-minute gift giving inspiration.

This gift guide covers a variety of price points (beginning at $5!) and I’m linking to as many Amazon Prime products as possible to help with shipping speed as well.

PBF Gift Guide: For Her

  • Gift Certificate to A Local Workshop or Skills Class

AR Workshop Davidson

My mom and I had so much fun when we visited my local AR Workshop to create personalized signs and boxes together and I cannot recommend this gift idea enough if you’re into experience-based gifts. My mom loved selecting a sign she could make herself and we had the best time spending nearly four hours together getting a little creative in the studio. If you don’t have an AR Workshop nearby, consider pottery making or various skills-based classes (I am dying to take a handwriting class) or even cooking classes. (Charlotte locals, check out Skillpop for more class ideas.)

  • Mini Backpack

Mini Backpacks

I use my mini backpack every single day, mostly because I need my hands and shoulders free when I’m running after a toddler. Whether you’re looking for a gift for a mom or simply a woman who leads an active lifestyle, I think a mini backpack is a great gift, especially now that mini backpacks are 10,000 times cuter than they were even just one year ago.

Some of my favorite backpacks: Marc Jacobs Mini Backpack (this is the one I have and love), Faux Leather Backpack, Madewell Leather Backpack, Kate Spade Velvet Backpack (gorgeous and splurge-worthy, though this velvet backpack is beautiful and more affordable), STATE Nylon Backpack (for an athletic look)

Salt Lamp

I first ordered my Pink Himalayan Salt Lamp after Chase was born when I was in the market for a calming light to use during middle-of-the-night nursing sessions. I didn’t expect to love this light as much as I did! The warm glow is calming and tranquil and the salt crystal lamp emits negative ions that fight against electromagnetic radiation. The naturally-ionized air is also thought to help you sleep better at night.

  • Coveted Beauty Items

Beauty Items

This is an easy one to personalize if you have an idea about what sort of beauty items your loved one needs or wants. Some of my personal favorite beauty finds that I’ve received as a gift in the past include Clarisonic Mia 2 (this completely changed my facial cleansing routine for the better), Artis Palm Makeup Brush (the BEST brush for applying foundation – it allows me to use less makeup with greater coverage) and the Beautycounter Winter Glow Body Duo.

If you’re looking for more affordable stocking-stuffer options, consider a new beauty blender, rollerball perfume, festive nail polish with a nail polish remover pen (<—I love this thing!), face masks, Bend soap (<—super clean ingredients) bath bombs and body butter.

Butcher Block

A butcher block made it on my personal wish list this year after a blog reader left a comment recommending one to use to display cheese, nuts and fresh fruit when we host people in our home. I love the way a butchers block makes a cheese board look deconstructed but elegant. Though you can obviously find them online, I’ve seen a bunch of beautiful options at HomeGoods and Marshalls as well.

barefoot dreams

I discovered this brand when my mom’s cousin sent me a cozy Barefoot Dreams cardigan as a gift earlier this year and I now completely understand the hype. Their fabrics are the softest around – smooth and almost buttery – and the cardigan I have is incredibly warm and cozy. Barefoot Dreams makes everything from comfortable pullovers and fuzzy socks to classic throw blankets and robes that look like a dream.

Marble Phone Case

I love the look of a sleek and classy marble phone case and have one on my personal wish list this year. I spied a woman with a marble phone case at a local coffee shop a few months ago and it has been on my radar ever since.
